We are pleased to announce that Sir David Tang has accepted invitation to be our guest speaker at a dinner talk in October. Sir David will speak on "Collecting Chinese Art" and will make reference to the impressive and coveted Chinese art collection at the China Club.
Passionate about things Chinese, Sir David is the founder of the China Club in Hong Kong, Beijing and Singapore and the Shanghai Tang. He read philosophy at the University of London and from 1983 to 1984, Sir David taught at Peking University. His other businesses have involved oil exploration, gold mining, cigars and advising multinational companies. He was appointed Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE) in 2008. In his spare time, Sir David enjoys staying at home with his family and 4 dogs, playing the piano, completing the daily cryptic crossword, and reading voraciously.
Dress Code: Lounge Suit
Cost: HK$800 per member and HK$900 per guest
