Second hiking trail in 2009 - Tung Chung to Tai O Fishing Village on next Sunday, 04/19/2009 Following on the success of the Dargon's Back hike last month, the Penn Club would like to invite you to our second hiking trail in 2009 - Tung Chung to Tai O Fishing Village on next Sunday, 04/19/2009.
Trail Highlights:
Tung Chung to Tai O is a 15km, 4-hour scenic trail that winds along the northwest coast of Lantau Island. We will pass through great outlook onto the cable cars and the airport runway, and enter into well-kept remains of historic villages, temples and monuments, including the Tung Chung Fort that dates back to 1832. After passing through a couple bays and mild elevations, we will reach Tai O, a popular tourist spot well known for its fishing village waterways, stilted houses and fishing boats.
